It took us 20 yrs before we could afford to buy a Straight Egyptian female for our breeding programme, but Mel was well worth the wait. For her first foal she was bred to Maf-Ue Shaienne (Simeon Seren x Arabian Park Classic), but sadly this pregnancy ended with twins and we had to have her aborted. The following season she was bred back to Shaienne and the result of this breeding is the very precious bay filly Kai Hai Shaai'Angel.
We were so happy with the birth of Angel that Mel again visited Shaienne and the result of this breeding is the outstanding colt Kai Hai Shaai Ice. In 2005 we bred Mel to Rocky (Ibn Sterling Shaklan) with great hopes of an outstanding baby. Sadly Mel aborted an absolutely beautiful bay (possibly black) colt with only 7 weeks to go.
Kai Hai Shaai Ice's first foals are a clear indication of his future potential as a sire. Both foals were born black, but will be grey - a partbred colt and a purebred filly from a mare of Polish/Crabbet/Colonial bloodlines.
In 2006 we bred Mel to the stunning imported Straight Egyptian Stallion *Meadow Magic Imp. USA (Mosry)and the result is an exquisite grey filly Kai Hai Magic Aaria.
Again in 2007, we bred Mel to Ibn Sterling Shaklan and the result is the stunning Grey filly, Kai Hai Sterling Amitaa (pend).
